What a lovely quality sketch book. Its a great size, the quality is excellent. Its has spiral binding which is robust, allowing the pages to turn easily and lie flat. The pages are thick which allows you to use marker pens without the ink ruining the attached page. Definitely would recommend this book and at the cost of £11.99 it would give hours of pleasure to a budding artist.

I guess it depends on what you wish to use your paper for, but I appreciate a bit of texture. Without it, pencils are more difficult to use, and work can look a bit flat and soulless. Texture helps create expressive and consistant marks. This particular paper is bit lacking in that respect, and it definitely doesn't perform as well as my usual Derwent pads, which I recommend. The paper here is claimed to be acid free, and I'll keep it for future art projects, but I don't think I'll be using it for drawing on.

I recently purchased the A4 Sketch Book with 200GSM Thick Paper, and it has quickly become my go-to sketch pad for all my drawing and sketching needs. Here’s a detailed breakdown of why this sketchbook is a must-have for any artist: Paper Quality: The 200GSM paper is a dream come true for sketching. It’s thick enough to prevent any bleed-through, which is perfect for those who use markers or heavy inks. Additionally, the paper’s texture is smooth yet provides just the right amount of grip for pencils and charcoals, enhancing the overall drawing experience. Durability: The hardback cover not only gives the sketchbook a sturdy feel but also ensures durability. This makes it ideal for travel or outdoor drawing sessions, as it can withstand being tossed in a bag without damage. The spiral binding is robust, allowing the pages to turn easily and lie flat, which is particularly beneficial when working on a detailed piece. Size and Portability: The A4 size of this sketchbook is perfect for detailed sketches, providing ample space to explore creativity while still being easy to carry around. Whether I’m drawing in a café or in the park, this sketchbook is the perfect companion. Page Quantity: With 40 sheets (80 pages), this sketchbook offers plenty of space for numerous projects, making it a great value for money. It’s enough to keep you drawing for a long time without running out of pages too quickly. Versatility: This sketchbook is versatile enough to be used with a variety of mediums, from graphite pencils to watercolor brushes. The thick paper handles different materials well, making it a fantastic choice for mixed media artists. Overall Experience: I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and functionality of this sketchbook. It meets all my needs as an artist, from the quality of the paper to the practical design of the binding and cover. I would highly recommend this A4 Sketch Book to anyone who takes their sketching seriously, whether you’re a beginner or a professional artist. It’s an excellent investment that offers reliability and quality, enabling you to bring your artistic visions to life with ease and style.

My oldest loves to draw and paint. This can be on paper, but also it is nice for them to have a special pad like this 'Sketch Book'. It is the type of thing that would work for a student up to around A Level and any amateur. The paper is thick, but not of the highest quality that my artist partner would want to use. At the price it is a good value pad. It has a classic finish and spiral bound. It even has a little image of canal on the front to help inspire.

I was so impressed with this sketchbook as it is really good quality. The paper is lovely and thick meaning I can comfortably work on both sides of the paper without it coming through. It is a great size too. The best bit for me is that it is spiral bound, which means it will lie flat for working in and can be wrapped right around to be used like a tablet. Very happy with this marvellous sketchbook.
