In my case I needed a range of different pencils for technical drawings as part of my woodwork. This is so much easier with a good range of different leads. This set is good quality, well layout in a good sturdy tin and had all the parts specified. I did puzzle the pencil extension until I realised that would be used once the pencils become much smaller with use. In fact then you realise that will give you an even longer use of the set.

I'm only an amateur, so I couldn't comment on finer aspects of the quality of these pencils in terms of drawing. They seem to do exactly what they're supposed to though, resilient, with a good range of tone between 4H and the highest B. The included rubber is extremely effective, and the two pencil sharpeners included are a thoughtful addition. The case is metal and sturdy, and closes firmly keeping the pencils safe when not in use. Overall very happy with the purchase.

I’m sure the quality of the pencils is fine; HOWEVER, the metal box lid came damaged along one edge, as if a prior customer had pried it open. Now it will no longer close properly, or stay closed (see pics). EDIT: The seller contacted me and offered to make this right. That counts for a lot with me. Giving 5 stars because the pencils, etc. work fine (one end of the holder can be made to work). The pencils were jumbled out of their slots, as if someone had removed them and then just jammed them back in. One of the sharpeners was also out of its place, and jammed in among the pencils. To top things off, the pencil extender is broken and will not allow the pencil to stay in place once inserted (and only one end is the correct size to fit the pencils). VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.
