I didn’t need anymore pencils but this set looked great fun - and they are. Each one has a different duo colour combo and there is a great range from 4H to 8B inc F and B, which not all sets have. Pencils come unsharpened, which is a pain but it does mean you can get the point you want. Would recommend.

These are drawing pencils by Arrtx that come boxed. They’re available in HB, 2B or a mix between 4H and 8B, and I’ve got the latter. With the mix, you get 14 pencils, each with a different hardness rating. I like the mix of different hardness grades, so you get much softer all the way up to the hardest one. You can pick and choose which to use, or use different ones for the same project to get the effect you want to get. I’ve never had that much choice before with pencils for my own use, but then again, I’m not good at drawing! I know some people with a natural talent for it and while I’m a wee bit jealous, I’ve none of that myself. But I used to sketch a little for fun and I want to get back into doing it, and these pencils are just what I needed to get started. I’d say they’re good for the newbies, the casual drawers, different ages and right up to the pros. The pencils arrive pre-sharpening, so you’ll need a sharpener at the ready. I prefer this so there’s no damage to the ends caused in transit. All was good in my set, though there was some marks on the top of the pencils, a bit like scuff marks. The pencils are made with “high-quality lead”, which I’d agree with in terms of it providing a smooth line and sharpening well, without breaking off or getting scratchy like many cheap pencils can. I’ve used a few of these now just trying them out and none have had any problems, nor have I had any lead breaking, so that’s a good start. I like the range of colours that the pencils come in, just to make the set vibrant with a touch of fun. They’re funky but good quality and a balance between fun and professional. I’d say the quality seems to be great and they feel nice in the hand to hold and to use for sketching or shading. A fabulous pencil set that’s great quality and a pleasure to use, enough so that it has tempted me back into sketching!

Now I’m not the best judge of a quality pencil but I’ve tested these against a couple of professional artist grade pencils from Derwent and Fabre castell and they seem comparable in quality. What I like most about these is the fun colours, it makes it easier to find what you’re looking for too. My only complaint was that they don’t come sharpened, now some artist prefer this as they like to sharpen to their preference with a knife, for me I’m happy with a normal metal sharpener, and sharpening all 14 pencils had my wrist hurting! All in all I’d say this is great gift for an artist as you have all the pencil grades you could need and they come in nice box too.

Wow, im really impressed with this set of pencils. It's good for beginners and professionals.. Pencils came in good looking yellow box in style of a drawer. The set is fantastic, I really like stuff like that, just to try, as I'm not that professional drawer though..just for hobby.. I have other pencil sets which I use in my free time but always if something is brand new, is more 'sweet' from begin. Pencils are great, just as expected. They are in various grades for all sort of drawing, writing or blending. Surely everyone will find them useful. All in all, I love this set, its colourful and could make nice little gift for child, teenager or an artist. The price is ok for these quality pencils. Highly recommended

I'd ordered this for some basic sketching and wasn't expecting too much with the various sized tips but it's enabled me to so much more than I was anticipating. I've been able to add shade, add depth, contour and highlight areas which ordinarily would require much going over. It's made it so easy to get the effect I was looking for. Each different tip produces a totally unique style and it's been great working with them. The case keeps them all together and each one has stayed firm after sharpening.

This is a really nice inexpensive pencil set. It has a wide range of shades. I like also that each one is a different colour making it easy to find the specific shade. They lay down smooth consistent graphite. they do not break easy and sharpen up nice with a blade or sharpener. No splitting. I am just a beginner graphite artist but these pencils seem to be what I was looking for after purchasing a couple of other inexpensive pencil sets.

These really are some great sketching pencils. Just your good, basic #2 pencils that do the job perfectly. They are comfortable to hold. They sharpen easily. I'm completely happy with them.

I am impressed with this little set of pencils. Love that they are colour coded so I can reach for exactly the one I want. I found they draw smoothly..no grit showing up. They are a good travel set that I can through in a bag and they stay safe from breakage. I would recommend them for sketchbooks for sure.
