I bought this for my nature loving daughter. She is 10 years old and loves nature, animals, being outside and drawing! This seemed Like a perfect match. When I received the book I peeked inside and saw a few things that really did not apply to her. This book, I believe is made for an adult, not a kid. I did however, give it to her because it is cute, and surely she will enjoy using it. I haven't seen her actually take it outside yet, but I imagine when the weather gets warmer she will overlook the adultish things and learn a thing or two and have fun with it. It really is cute! I would recommend it to a college aged person or young adult who enjoys hiking and camping. Would be a great book to take while hiking the AT.
