What a surprise. I expected them to be a bit lightweight and flimsy but good enough for sketching. They are however good solid pens which I think will last. It's also nice to have the refills ready and waiting. I was a bit confused by the extra end cap erasers initially as I could not see that any of the pens would accommodate them. However on the 3 grip pencils if you give the clicking mechanism a firm pull it comes off exposing an eraser already in situ. This set is good quality and very good value for money 😊

This many pencils. All pencils work well. The 3 draughting pencils have 2mm dia leads. One Pencil for 2B, one for HB and one for 2H. The pencils come with one lead already fitted and each hardness comes with 12 spare leads. I think there's not much difference between the hardness grades. Th draughting pencils have a rotating hardness indicator so you can select which grade is installed. The propelling pencils are all HB hardness but in 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9 diameter with 24 spare leads per diameter. Unlike the draughting pencils the rotating hardness indicator only has HB marked so if you decide to buy a different hardness lead you cannot select the grade fitted in the pencil. The case is strong but really difficult to open.

I absolutely love this set of mechanical pencils from Nicpro! The variety of lead sizes and types included in the set is perfect for all my sketching and drafting needs. I use these for drawing. I have many other implements ranging from fountain pens to ,markers to pencils and color pencils. Quality costs money, and when you are trying to do a good job you have no option. However, with mechanical pencils the quality you seek is in the graphite, as long as the mechanism of the pen is sound, the pen is confortable and balanced, and stays together in sue. These pencils check all these requirements, and the graphite that came with it is pretty good. The erasers are effective. Conclusion, I have paid twice as much of one mechanical pencil in the past. It is prettier and much better made than these, but these are just as useful. IT is good value for the money.

This kit is an excellent pack for people starting their journey with graphite illustration or drawing. I picked this up because I didn't pack my normal drafting kit, and have been very happy with it. Pros: The pencils all feel good in the hand, are responsive and stable. The vinyl erasers work well on decent paper and do not catch. The leads draw quite smoothly, sharpen nicely and erase cleanly Cons: Sharpeners: ditch the razors and get a proper lead grinder for the 2mm leads, It will save you a ton of mess. Stadler makes a great barrel grinder that is fairly cheap. Lead is fairly fragile at extreme sharpness but is resilient enough at normal levels, over all it is strong enough to do super fine detail workas long as you have a light hand. The beziel that indicates the type of lead on the mechanical pencils ( .5, .7, .9) has only HB as an option. The 2mm lead holders a very light owing to the plastic body but they are sturdy. 2mm lead holders bezel indicates only 2B - 2H hardness. It's enough for this kit and includes some (B and H) that are not included. This kit lacks a kneeled eraser and gum eraser, which is absolutely essential when working with graphite. But that is a fairly easy addition. Over all I would highly recommend this kit for any beginner or people who need an cheap stop-gap kit. Update: couple months in and this kit is now part of my regular equipment for at home. The lettering paint on the pencil bodies has worn away but otherwise they are going strong. If you are gentle with them they will last a decent while. And the leads provided are quite decent. A couple of easy modifications or additions can take care of the previously mentioned shortcomings. Over all very happy with the purchase.
